Treasure Key Lock
Treasure Key Lock requires students to collect a Treasure Key with a matching Key ID to unlock the lock. It can be configured as a reward for students completing an Activity or added as a Slide App for students to find and collect.
Inserting the Treasure Key Reward
2 ways to insert a Treasure Key reward:
1) As a reward after completing the activity
2) As a Treasure Key Slide App
1) As a reward after completing the activity
You can insert this treasure key at any point of your activity by selecting the right-hand dropdown and “Set Treasure Key Reward”:
Then the following screen appears:
Give a name to this Treasure Key as this would be visible to the students when they collect it. The most important part is the Key ID which can be a number or word; and this Key ID must be matched to a lock in a later activity. There are 4 default Key IDs, i.e. GOLD, SILVER, BRONZE and COPPER. E.g. we use default Key ID ‘SILVER’ in the below example and gave a description.
2) As a Treasure Key Slide App
In your Slide Activity, click on 'Treasure Key' under the Supercharge list of Slide Apps:
The screen similar to Type 1 will appear. The way to configure is the same as above.
Setting the Treasure Key Lock
2 ways to set the Treasure Key Lock:
1) As an Activity Entry Lock
2) As a Lock App
1) As an Activity Entry Lock
In another activity that is anywhere after this activity where you had awarded the treasure key reward (which can be either from the reward after completing the activity or the slide app), select the right-hand dropdown and “Set Activity Entry Lock” to see below screen.
Go to tab ‘Key’; the default number in the Key ID is ‘GOLD’ which you would need to amend based on what Treasure Key reward ID you had set earlier. You can write a hint for the student to guide them where they may have missed out collecting the treasure key reward.
2) As a Lock Slide App
In another Slide Activity that is anywhere after this activity where you had awarded the treasure key reward (which can be either from the reward after completing the activity or the slide app), click on 'Lock' under the Supercharge list of Slide Apps:
Click on the Lock app and go to tab 'Key'. Then amend the default key ID based on what Treasure Key reward ID you had set earlier. You can write a hint for the student to guide them where they may have missed out collecting the treasure key reward.
